Italian cuisine is replicated all over the world, but is naturally at its best in Italy and Rome is no exception.We highly recommend that you escape the campsite for a night or two and seek out family-owned establishments which offer affordable traditional Italian dishes, including delicious pizza and pasta and the delicious 'gelato' (ice creams). There are plenty to choose from!

The weather in Rome is perfect for a camping holiday, with long hot summers and mild winters. July and August are the hottest months with temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius, while June and September offer slightly cooler weather which is still perfect for days by the pool or on the beach.
The best time to go camping in Rome is during the summer months when the weather is at its hottest. However, if you are looking for a quieter camping holiday, go earlier in May or June.
As part of our commitment to providing great value to our customers, we do not provide some of the linens. This not only helps to keep the cost down for you but also helps you and your children to feel more at home. You will need to take your sheets and pillowcases although we can arrange for you to hire bed linen at most campsites. We provide pillows, blankets and/or duvets at all campsites. You will also need to take towels, tea towels and cleaning materials, and you can readily buy the latter in the campsite shops. Taking a box of matches for lighting gas hob burners and heater pilot lights is always helpful.
